Saddo

Romanian artist Raul “Saddo” Oprea creates allegorical work inspired by pop-surrealism, illustration, horror movies, mythology, and the bizarre. Working in a variety of styles and mediums, his versatility allows him to adapt his aesthetic to the subject he explores.

For SODO Track, Raul painted a dynamic female character speeding alongside the transit riders on a skateboard. Part of his series paying tribute to women from diverse cultural backgrounds who do activities that societies have traditionally deemed masculine, Raul seeks to inspire strength, determination, equality and progress.
