Paola Delfin, a Mexico City-based artist, is known for paintings of feminine subjects that powerfully capture a balance of strength and vulnerability.
For SODO Track, inspired by its theme of movement and progression, she created Shelter 2, a monochromatic exploration of the movement and change that can happen in the mind. “The same girl,” she says, “is in different states of mind, blossoming while using the flower (inspired by the locally endangered golden paintbrush flower) as a shelter for her thoughts.”
