Soph O

Employing repetition and reiteration as tools, Singaporean artist Soph O captures transient moments and everyday stories. Her work features colorful abstraction, geometry, and organic pattern inspired by the ambiguities and randomness of the natural environment and human experience.

For SODO Track, Soph painted a colorful vision inspired by the microcosms of the deep sea, where pockets of life fill tiny niches. “This piece can be seen as populated by an archipelago of experiences,” Soph describes. She envisions an island to match each life, with symbiotic relationships that define beginnings, process and endings in continuous circularity and evolution.
